Galaxy-qld meetup in Brisbane

We are about to launch Galaxy-qld meetup, a monthly meeting of Galaxy-qld users in Brisbane. Come and meet other Galaxy-qld users, learn about new tools and resources on the server, share your experiences and problems.

Where: UQ St Lucia campus, Queensland Bioscience Precinct (QBP/IMB Building 80), Small Seminar Room 3.146 (access via ramp from Chancellor’s Place).

When: October 5, 2016, Wednesday, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM

The first meeting will start with a 20 min talk about GenomeSpace tools on Galaxy-qld followed by a discussion and Q&A time. Galaxy-qld is connected to the Australian GenomeSpace server that can manage the Object Store storage on the NeCTAR cloud. We will create a Galaxy workflow that import data into Galaxy, modify it and export the results to external storage.

There is no registration for the meeting. Any questions? Email Igor at i.makunin@uq.edu.au.

UPDATE October 4, 2016. The meeting will go ahead as planned. We will talk about the ongoing outage of Galaxy-qld.

Slides from the meeting are available as a pdf file.
